A. — MÉD., vx. Pus sanguinolent et fétide s'écoulant d'une plaie infectée ou d'un ulcère. (Dict. XIXe et XXe s.). Synon. sanie.
B. — GÉOL., mod. Substance minérale issue du magma qui, après émanation, se solidifie et métamorphise certaines roches. Dans les migmatites hétérogènes, l'ichor se présente sous forme d'innombrables veines (...) qui recoupent en tous sens la roche métamorphique hôte (Encyclop. Sc. Techn. 1972, p. 31b).

Le sens 2 est attesté en angl. dès 1926 ds NED Suppl.2.
